"Offline activation is not available in SoundID Reference yet. I really hope they manage to crack it or give us a tool to change system id in order to extend the 21 trial period :/ The only thing that worked was to download a trial of the latest "SoundID" version which works as expected.although i hate the new interface, it's a mess plus you can't set up presets for the same device which is annoying (i used to change calibration profile from speakers to headphones in one click).now it's a mess edit: i found a way to fix it, you need to click to a different target first, then it will regard it as a separate preset)
So expect next windows update to break it :(( I've updated to the latest windows insider dev build and it breaks the sound engine of this version. Note: I read on the official site that the ASIO mode is actually a mix of WASAPI and only ASIO in the last part of the chain, maybe issues stem from here.
Has anyone managed to run Systemwide in Windows (not within the DAW, this works for me already)? I have the famous, fatal 'audio playback engine failed to start' for the Steinberg UR242 (not the best souncard, I know, but does the job). I say this because my mixes from the DAW translate very well on AKG 712 PRO headphones and Apple earbuds, but want to be sure that what I hear on my JBL 3 is what I listen in the DAW with Systemwide as the last plugin in the chain. Thanks, guys I'll do add it to exclusions next time.Īnother issue I've been having for ages is making systemwide work on the Windows 10 environment, just to listen to my mixes outside the DAW but with a more plain response, as my listening position seems to be within some room node or freq canceling spot.
